Abbie Appel

Abbie Appel is the owner and CEO of Abbiefit Consulting, Appel Programming Solutions and the Program Director at Fitspace Studios. As an award-winning fitness educator, Abbie develops and delivers programs for Power Systems, Schwinn Cycling, and many other organizations. She created the SCW Pilates and SCW Barre Certifications and received SCW’s “Best Presenter” award. Abbie has produced and starred in over 30 fitness videos and contributes to fitness publications such as Self, Shape, and Prevention.

Aaron Aslakson

Aaron Aslakson is the Director of Fitness Centers for Walker Methodist in Minneapolis, MN, a position he has held since 2009. In this role, he provides support to 11 fitness centers dedicated to older adult fitness, including location design, staff development, and program development. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor in the Kinesiology and Health Sciences department for Concordia University St. Paul.

Christine Conti

Christine is an international fitness presenter, educator, and speaker. She is CEO of Conti Fitness LLC., has over 20 years in the industry, and created Let’s FACE It Together ™, facial exercise and rehabilitation. She co-hosts Two Fit Crazies & a Microphone Podcast, and co-founded TFC Productions. Post-2 rounds of
chemo for an autoimmune diagnosis, Christine completed 36 marathons, 2 tris, and 2 IRONMANS. Christine is an active member of the Women In Fitness Assoc., MedFit Network, and PFP.

Jane Curth

Jane is a former college professor and has been an ACE personal trainer in the fitness industry for decades. Her passion for fitness and education drove her to co-found FitFixNow in 2016, a 100% online platform for continuing education. She also serves as program coordinator for senior wellness with Uniper Care and is a consultant for Silver Sneakers. Cammy Dennis

Cammy Dennis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and fitness certifications from ACE, AFAA, FAI and AEA and is a master trainer for NAFC. Cammy is currently the Fitness Director for On Top of the World Communities, a 55-plus active aging adult community, as well as The Ranch Fitness Center and Spa. Cammy is a presenter for the International Council on Active Aging, SCW Fitness Education and recipient of the 2019 National Association of Home Builders 55+ Lifestyle Director Silver award.

Ann Gilbert

Ann Gilbert is a highly accomplished Fitness Professional with over 35 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. She is the owner and operator of two Shapes Fitness for Women franchises, overseeing the operations of 50 Group Fitness Professionals, 25 Certified Personal Trainers and coordinating fee-based personal training programs for aging and mature populations. Ann has received recognition for her outstanding achievements and continued contributions to the industry, including being awarded ACE/IHRSA Personal Trainer of the Year in 2001 and has presented at a variety of industry events such as Club Industry, SCW MANIA®, IAFC and IHRSA since 2002. Sharlyn Green

Sharlyn Green is the founder of Core Connection and a National Trainer for the SilverSneakers program. With over 15 years of experience in the health & fitness industry, she has devoted her time to developing and implementing programs for continuing care communities, as well as providing continuing education for ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, and AEA. Sharlyn holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in management. She is also a Corrective Exercise Specialist certified through NASM, an E-RYT 200/YACEP, and an IIN Health Coach.

Jeff Howard

Jeff Howard is a world-renowned fitness presenter and the Promotional Director of Fitness for Baptist Health and Milestone Wellness Center. As a celebrity trainer, he was a pioneer instructor at the Golden Door Spa, starred in numerous fitness videos, educated fitness professionals at conventions worldwide for more than a decade, and has appeared on several national TV shows. Sara Kooperman, JD

Sara, CEO of SCW Fitness Education and WATERinMOTION®, is a visionary leader that has transformed the fitness education community. A successful business owner and advisor, she is a keynote speaker, published author, podcast presenter and sought-after industry trail-blazer. Sara has a unique ability to share her passion and devotion towards fitness education through her humor, enthusiasm and her effervescent no-nonsense personality. Cindy Kozacek

Cindy has “trained the trainer” as an education provider and presenter for fitness professionals since 1995. She is well known for her work in developing class programming for the SilverSneakers Fitness Program, and has filmed older adult fitness content for instructor training, consumer fitness video, while also leading live instructor training workshops nationwide. Cindy holds a Group Fitness Instructor Certification from ACE, and Primary Group Exercise Certification from AFAA.

Robert Linkul

Robert Linkul is the owner of TrainingTheOlderAdult.com (TOA) and the Be STRONGER Fitness Online Training Bunker. Robert is an internationally known presenter featured for his teachings on resistance training strategies for the Older Adult and those with physical limitations and/or a decreased quality of life. Renae McCloud

Renae grew up a competitive athlete and is currently the owner of McCloud Fitness on Bainbridge Island and a national fitness educator and senior master instructor for TRX Training. She is a high-energy trainer with more than 35 years in the fitness industry, bringing humor and her years of experience and knowledge to her workshops. Irene has been part of the SCW faculty for over a decade. Andrea Metcalf

Andrea Metcalf is a best-selling author and celebrity fitness expert with over 35 years of experience in the fitness industry. Elizabeth Mooney

Country Fusion® creator, Elizabeth Mooney, has been a dancer since the age of 2 and has taught fitness for over 10 years. Past experiences include directing her own off-Broadway show, owning a dance studio in NYC, and involvement with America’s Got Talent Season 6, and Mercedes Benz fashion week. Elizabeth’s personal achievements include being a finalist in the Miss Italia competition, Elite Model Management competition, Bikini USA, and Miss Hawaiian Tropic. Giovanni was recently voted SCW Fitness’ 2020 August Live Stream MANIA® Best Male Presenter. As a highly sought-after personal trainer and group fitness instructor, he is also a Master Instructor for both the Institute Of Motion and ViPR PRO. Tricia Silverman, RD, LDN, MBA

She developed and leads the SCW Nutrition for Active Aging Certification. Kimberly Spreen-Glick

Kimberly has over 25 years of experience teaching and presenting on fitness and yoga, as well as professional and personal development. She served as the senior director of group fitness at LifeTime for over 10 years and is an IDEA Program Director of the Year award recipient. Her primary focus is helping fitness professionals bridge the gap between physical fitness and complete well-being so they can live their own best lives while being Difference Makers for others.

Donna Thomas

Billie Wartenberg

Billie has over 28 years of experience in the fitness industry. She was awarded SCW Fitness Idol in 2016 and holds personal training and group exercise instructor certifications through SCW.  She earned a BA from Grand Canyon University and is a master trainer for Barre Above™, Tabata Bootcamp™. Billie draws on her experience as a former competitive cheerleader to bring high-energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement to her classes. She is also a U-Jam Instructor and the Fitness/Wellness Manager at Trilogy Orlando.
